Although I know that I've already posted some photos of my knitting I thought that I'd better tell you how it all started!
I have a demanding job and about 3 years ago decided that I needed a relaxing hobby! As a child my Grandma showed me how to embroider and I have cross-stitched but I don't really have the patience for this anymore... so I thought what about knitting?? I searched for knitting courses on the Internet and found Kym at Treacle Hand Knits in Morpeth. You can see below (modelled by Bjorn the Bear!!) my first ever tentative project! Kym was very patient and a great teacher - my first attempt was sooo tight I could hardly move the stitches on the needles!!
I've been addicted ever since! Hopefully my knitting has moved on since then. Kym certainly has and now runs Treacle Wool Shop in Morpeth, Northumberland - I defy you to visit without buying anything!! Come along to their knit2gether the first Wednesday of the month I'll see yoiu there!
